This course has allowed me to learn many new words and phrases that have become more prevalent in my life. For example, I was able to learn about social media, influencers, and activities on the internet. The module talked about how influencers use bots to give the illusion of a large following. This is a topic that I know about due to communication classes, but now I will be able to present this information in Spanish. Since I want to go into a career in communications and media, I can pass on media information that I have learned in other classes in Spanish. This is important because I want to be able to travel to Latin American countries.

I feel like this course will allow me to be able to have different types of conversations with my family. There has always been a language barrier between my family and me. It can be difficult to communicate issues we all feel passionate about. However, after taking this course I know I will be able to provide better representation of my thoughts and feelings in Spanish. 

Overall, this course has been important to me because it allowed me to expand my knowledge. I know that there is still a lot I need to learn when it comes to my Spanish-speaking journey, but I am happy to report that this class has helped me tremendously. Being able to expand my Spanish speaking to topics such as media is important to me.
